If like me you want a quick healthy breakfast, no chewing involved but really tasty to start the day, then this recipe might be just what you are looking for. My husband dislikes the American way of measuring by the cup, but I must say I like it! It saves all that measuring and less washing up, just use the same cup for all the ingredients.
This smoothie uses black berries from the hedgerows, which are so big and bountiful this year, they freeze so well and are a cheery treat in a pie or crumble on a cold winters day.
Ingredients.
1 Banana
1 cup natural yogurt
3/4 cup of your favourite milk
1 cup of pureed Blackberry’s cooked in a little sweetener and mixed with stewed Apple. You do not have to puree the Black berries if you do not mind the seeds.
1 cup of Midfields Granola Wheat Free or Gluten Free.
Method.
Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. This can be made the night before or on the morning you wish to eat it. What could be easier!
