It is that time of year, Festivals and Feasting every where. There are so many to choose from, it is often hard to choose which to attend, spreading the word of Midfields Granola and meeting old and new customers.
Having demonstrated at Exeter Food Festival for Darts Farm www.dartsfarm.co.uk a couple of weekends ago, also exhibiting at Colyton Grammer School Food and Garden Festival, last weekend, I have noticed a big change in customers asking for low sugar Granola. They are so pleased to find our Sweet Freedom range, both in Wheat Free and our Original Granola, with wheat and oats, baked in the low calorie Sweet Freedom extract, made from Carob , Apple and Grape. This very tasty breakfast Granola has natural almonds, pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds, oats or wheat and oats baked in West Country Rapeseed Oil and low calorie Sweet Freedom.
Michael Caines MBE came and said hello at Exeter Food Festival and we discussed him having our Granolas, in his luxury Lympstone Manor Hotel on the River Exe. He served our Wheat Free Granola for many years when he was Chef at the famous Gideigh Park in Devon, close to us.I was delighted that he would now like it at Lympstone Manor Hotel.
I shared the demo at Exeter Food Festival with Vickie from “The Free From Fairy”, who has created an excellent gluten free flour. Vickie made some low sugar, gluten free muffins, topped with Midfields Granola Gluten Free Granola. The audience ate them so quickly, Lin and I did not get a look in. Equally the dessert of Gluten Free Granola , Raspberries, Blueberries and Yogurt in a sundae glass, went just as quickly when handed around, the crowd in Darts Farm Tepee.Lin my Supervisor also handed around our Gluten Free Cookies, do lookup the recipe for on our web site. Of course the audience wanted to know if they could buy them! Not enough time in a working day,I am afraid to add to our range. Just have ago at making some yourself, really easy!
No Festivals for a couple of months, it would be so nice to have time to attend more but baking and blogs keep me busy!
