What amazing weather we are having, I just lie around snoozing and listen with one ear to what the staff are talking about in their breaks.I had a special treat yesterday, I managed to scrounge the spare chair and a saucer arrived in front of me with Granola and milk in it…Wow!! I always wondered what this food called Granola would taste like, the Cooks talk about how good it is. Well it was delicious!! As you can see I tucked in and ate the whole saucer full. They did mention it was the Midfields Granola Wheat Free range, baked in honey and oil, very good for my coat, I would think, make me look nice and shiny.
It seems that this hot weather they are having to make a lot of Granola Cookies in the Granola kitchen, people are having picnics and family staying, they make a really good addition to a picnic and are very filling and taste amazing,I am told.I do not think I will get one of those as a treat!
Today is Friday and it is Cookie baking day, I can smell the sweet baking aroma wafting thorough the window. I wonder how may they are baking today? I know some are for Bovey Caste Hotel and some for Buckland Tout Saint Hotel, near Kingsbridge, both big Hotels in Devon.
Hope you all have a good weekend and eat lot’s of Granola to give you lot’s of energy, I certainly did a lot of hunting after my Granola and milk breakfast.
